TrueCoach pricing in 2026, and what it costs per client

TrueCoach uses active-client tiers. That makes roster size the main factor in the subscription bill: crossing from five to six clients, or from twenty to twenty-one, moves the account to the next plan.

Device support is the first practical difference. FitLinkPro is made for iPhone, while TrueCoach's client app runs on both iOS and Android. If you or your clients rely on Android, TrueCoach is the practical choice between these two products.

TrueCoach prices in August 2026

Plan Monthly billing Annual billing (per month) Active clients included
Starter $29.98 $26.34 Up to 5
Standard $69.98 $57.99 Up to 20
Pro $164.98 $136.99 Up to 50

These are the prices on the official TrueCoach pricing page, checked on 18 August 2026 with the toggle set to monthly and then to annual. TrueCoach describes annual billing as one month free on Starter and two months free on Standard and Pro, compared with twelve monthly payments. Eligible new annual subscribers can claim a 90-day money-back guarantee, subject to the guarantee terms. Above 50 clients, TrueCoach directs buyers to a custom quote.

The unit is "active clients", not everyone you have ever coached. According to TrueCoach's archiving documentation, archived clients do not count towards the plan limit and their data is retained. You need an available client slot before reactivating one.

What that works out to per client

Roster TrueCoach (monthly) FitLinkPro Per client, TrueCoach
5 clients $29.98 $2.99 $6.00
6 clients $69.98 $2.99 $11.66
20 clients $69.98 $2.99 $3.50
21 clients $164.98 $2.99 $7.86
50 clients $164.98 $2.99 $3.30

The second and fourth rows are the ones to look at. TrueCoach's tiers are wide, so the sixth and the twenty-first client are expensive: adding one person can more than double the monthly bill. That is not a criticism of the model — it is how tiered pricing works — but it is worth knowing before you land just over a boundary.

TrueCoach offers a 14-day trial on every plan with no credit card. FitLinkPro's App Store subscription begins with a 7-day trial.

Costs beyond the subscription

The subscription is not the only possible TrueCoach cost. TrueCoach Payments charges a flat 5% fee on successful credit-card transactions. The payment service is available to coaches with bank accounts in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Canada; the TrueCoach Payments documentation lists the current restrictions. If you collect coaching fees through the platform, include that transaction fee when comparing totals.

TrueCoach moves through tiers as the roster grows and has no free entry point. FitLinkPro charges one subscription price regardless of the number of clients and does not process client payments inside the app.

When TrueCoach is the better fit

TrueCoach is built for delivering coaching to clients at a distance. Its plans include a program and workout builder, client apps on iOS and Android, messaging, an exercise video library, nutrition and habit tools, and payment features. Higher tiers add more customisation and integrations; the expanded feature list on the official pricing page identifies Zapier automation as a Pro feature.

If online coaching is your business — you write programs, clients train on their own, you review and message — TrueCoach has that infrastructure in place, and the per-client cost at the top of each tier is reasonable for a service business.

Trainerize is another product in this category; see the Trainerize pricing breakdown for its current plans. It also uses client tiers, but the products differ in their add-ons, payment options, scheduling tools and wider ecosystems, not only in their tier boundaries.

When FitLinkPro is the better fit

FitLinkPro is a tool for the trainer's own work during and around a session: logging sets on the gym floor, keeping each client's record, tracking session packages and payments, planning the week and reviewing progress. It runs on iOS only.

It can send a workout to the client's app and receive the results back, so simple remote programming works. It does not have in-app messaging, nutrition tracking or a branded client app, and does not try to. Its advantage is one price for any number of clients and a workflow built for trainers who coach in person or mix in-person work with light remote programming.

If your roster is mostly people you see in the gym and TrueCoach's tiers feel like paying for a coaching platform you use a fraction of, that is the case FitLinkPro is built for.

How to choose

Start with the way you coach. Clients who train independently may need Android access, messaging and nutrition tools. In-person clients may only need a clear workout record and occasional remote programming. Then check the roster: being just above a TrueCoach tier boundary changes the monthly cost substantially.

If messaging, nutrition tracking, Android and remote delivery are central, TrueCoach is likely the better match. Trainers who mainly log in-person sessions and administer clients on an iPhone can enter a few real client records in both trials and compare the day-to-day workflow.
